🌺 Tara Tarini Adi Shakti Peetha
The Twin Goddesses of the Kumari Hills
🌍 Ancient Spiritual Power
The Tara Tarini Temple is situated on the banks of the Rushikulya River near Purushottampur (Ganjam district). It is one of the four ancient Adi Shakti Peethas of India. Unlike many other shrines, the deities here are worshipped as twin stone figures, anthropomorphized with gold and silver ornaments. It remains the presiding deity (Ista-Devi) for millions in Southern Odisha.
